G-Unit affiliate 40 Glocc is no longer allowed to come near an apartment complex in his hometown of Colton, California, reports the Associated Press.

Despite his argument that his affiliation with the Colton City Crips was just for show, a judge ruled that the rapper is subject to a 2008 gang injunction barring him from the complex, where he was accused of loitering with other gang members as they packaged and sold drugs at the Arbor Terrace Apartments.

The courtroom testimony came courtesy of three police officers, who agreed on Glocc’s – real name Lawrence White – status as a member of the gang.

Aside from his involvement in G-Unit, 40 Glocc is perhaps best known for an infamous video in which he, Spider Loc and Village Boo supposedly surrounded Lil Wayne in a vehicle and harassed him about his Blood affiliation.

In a recent interview with NYMag.com’s Jason Richards, Raekwon discussed his upcoming album Shaolin vs. Wu-Tang and his recent collaboration with Justin Bieber and Kanye West. During the interview, the Wu-Tang general revealed that he and Dame Dash have been working on a feature-length film called C.R.E.A.M. 

“I’m working on a movie called C.R.E.A.M. that I co-directed with one of my partners,” he said. “We teamed up with [Damon] Dash. Y’all gonna be hearing more about this movie that we’re putting together called C.R.E.A.M. It’s called Cash Rules Everything Around Me. It’s a lot of things transpiring right now.” (NYMag.com)

Although the Chef divulged  few details about the project itself, he did indicated that he would remain behind the camera for the project as a co-director. He said that his primary goal with the project is to best capture the story from an outsider’s point of view and craft a classic feature.

“I’m playing the outskirts on this one because I kind of feel like that’s where I’m at,” he explained. “At this point, I probably won’t be in it, but we don’t know. I want to more or less capture the scenes from the outside looking in, because I want it to be something that people say is a classic, and they respect the storyline of where we went with it. This is something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time, even when we was making Cuban Linx II, I was already making it my business to obligate time to that, to putting the script together. It’s where it needs to be right now. So it’s just a lot going on, man. I’m just trying to be a machine. A roller coaster machine, man.” (NYMag.com)

Six months after being released from jail, rapper is arrested with wife Tameka ‘Tiny’ Cottle on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine

TI went back to jail on Wednesday night, less than six months after being released from a year-long stint behind bars. The rap star and his wife were arrested on drug charges, after police smelled cannabis smoke from the couple’s car.
“I stay in trouble just to show these suckers I ain’t lost it,” TI once rapped. “They heard TI’s arrested, they’re like, ‘Here we go again’.” That seemed the way this week, when police came across TI – real name Clifford Harris – and his wife Tameka “Tiny” Cottle at a late-night traffic stop in West Hollywood. According to a representative from the sheriff’s department, “deputies smelled a strong odour of marijuana emitting from the vehicle” and “a narcotics investigation ensued”. Pills that “resembled ecstasy” were seized from the vehicle. The couple were arrested on suspicion of possessing methamphetamines and posted bail at 4am on Thursday (2 September), paying $10,000 (£6,500) each.
The arrest spells serious trouble for the rapper, who was on probation stemming from a 2007 weapons charge. He pleaded guilty to that offence, serving about a year in jail. At the time of his release, he was warned not to get into trouble – including for possession of a controlled substance.
Before this week’s run-in, things had been looking up. The Grammy award-winner stars in America’s No 1 film, Takers, and has a new album, King Uncaged, due later this year. But TI has often boasted of a criminal disposition, describing himself as a “seven-time felon” in numerous songs. This summer, he complained his recent stint in jail had sent him down an unhealthy road. “Putting me in prison took me off [the] path [of positivity],” he told Complex magazine. “Now I’m working to get back on that path – or at least back on the path to the extent that I was before I went in … Being in that environment and having those daily surroundings, it’s going to affect you.”

In a surprising turn, three artists noted for their mixtape work have decided to release their next tapes for retail purchase. After last year’s So Far Gone by Drake attaining gold status, Amazon.com has revealed that impending mixtapes from Waka Flocka Flame, Vado and Joe Budden will all get a retail release.

Waka Flocka’s Flockaveli and Vado’s Slime Flu will be hitting shelves this October 5, while Joe Budden’s highly anticipated Mood Muzik 4: A Turn for the Worse gets an October 26 release. Both Slime Flu and Mood Muzik 4 will be released via E-1 Music, while Aylum Records will handle Flockaveli.

There is no word as to whether the three mixtapes will also be released for free download. All three mixtapes are currently available for pre-order at Amazon.com
