Jay Baptiste Jr. (born June 26, 1990) goes by the stage name of Jai (pronounced Jay I).
He hails from London, Ontario but grew up in the New Toronto area. He attended Father Henry Carr high school graduating in 2008.
Jay endured a very unique upbringing being raised by his father primarily as opposed to his mother, he has learned an incredible amount of life lessons; one of which is maturity. Outside of music Jay has always had a keen eye for certain aspects of fashion; his favorite aspect is boots. He and best friend Omari Bradley make up The Black Boot Gang, he’s also affiliated with Onome Natufe and Kosi Modekwe’s Beautiful Struggle movement. With the help of Ronnice Giscombe, Jay created the video entitled “The Good One” in less than 48 hours he had received over a 1000 views.
