Hip-Hop mogul Damon Dash has announced the launch of an exclusive party in New York named “Bridging the Gap.”

According to representatives for Dash, the mogul’s new brand DD172 will produce the weekly “Bridging the Gap” event at popular venue Santos Party House, with Hot 97’s Peter Rosenberg and producer SkiBeatz.

“The party will reach deep into the city’s pool of talent, featuring top notch guest headliners every time,” a rep for Bridging the Gap told AllHipHop.com in a statement.

On August 16th, Dame Dash, Peter Rosenberg and SkiBeatz will launch “Bridging the Gap” with performances by veteran Hip-Hop act Camp Lo, along with newcomer Stalley.

The event will also help promote the line of artists associated with Dash’s new conglomerate of businesses, which inches the BluRoc/BlakRoc labels, a digital broadcasting wing named Creative Control and a roster of acts that includes Curren$y, Cool Kids, Smoke DZA, SkiBeatz, Rachel Roy, Peter Hadar, KRSP, Trademark, Big Chop and others.

“Bridging The Gap” will take place each Monday starting next week at Santos Party House, located at 96 Lafayette Street in New York. Doors open at 9:00 PM at a cost of $15 per-head.

The American Robin or North American Robin (Turdus migratorius) is a migratory songbird of the thrush family. It is named after the European Robin because of the male’s bright red breast, though the two species are not closely related. The American Robin is widely distributed throughout North America, wintering south of Canada from Florida to central Mexico and along the Pacific Coast. It is the state bird of Connecticut, Michigan, and Wisconsin. It has seven subspecies, but only T. m. confinis in the southwest is particularly distinctive, with pale gray-brown underparts.

The American Robin is active mostly during the day and assembles in large flocks at night. Its diet consists of invertebrates (such as beetle grubs and caterpillars), fruits and berries. It is one of the first bird species to lay eggs, beginning to breed shortly after returning to its summer range from its winter range. Its nest consists of long coarse grass, twigs, paper, and feathers, and is smeared with mud and often cushioned with grass or other soft materials. It is among the first birds to sing at dawn, and its song consists of several discrete units that are repeated.

The adult robin is preyed upon by hawks, cats and larger snakes, but when feeding in flocks, it is able to be vigilant and watch other birds for reactions to predators. Brown-headed cowbirds lay eggs in robin nests (see brood parasite), but robins usually reject the cowbird eggs.

The Diplomats/Skull Gang emcee was arrested and released earlier today for a driving without a license. The Diplomats’ Juelz Santana found himself in hot water with the law today. Early this morning, Harlem rapper Tweeted that he had been arrested. \Although details about why he had been locked up were unavailable at the time, XXLMag.com revealed that Santana had been initially pulled over for talking on his cell phone while driving. Santana’s representative Lynn K. Hobson told the site that after being pulled over, the rapper had been driving without a license and was taken into custody. Despite the arrest, Santana was released with only fine. “Juelz Santana was arrested this [morning] after being pulled over in his Bentley for talking on a cell phone while driving,” Hobson said. “He was then taken into custody for driving without his license. Old warrants that had not completely cleared the system were also cleared. Juelz paid a few fines and was released immediately.”

Throughout the summer, many Rap fans were surprised when Rick Ross released “B.M.F. (Blowin’ Money Fast)” . The Styles P-assisted song became a smash single from Ross’ Teflon Don album. However, the initials of the song and its opening chorus pay homage to Black Mafia Family and its incarcerated leader Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory. While rappers such as Bleu Davinci and Young Jeezy have been historically associated with Big Meech and BMF, Ross has not.

Last month, the Miami rapper was questioned about the song, when Jeezy had recorded his own version of “(The Real) B.M.F.” Ross told Sirius XM’s Hip Hop Nation show, “It’s all about who makes the best music,” before admitting he didn’t feel as though Jeezy’s version was an attack on him. “Jeezy got my number, he know where I’m at. We blowin’ money fast over here.” Ross also said that Big Meech had reportedly “cosigned the record.”

Released today, Jeezy’s “Death Before Dishonor (B.M.F. Remix)” has the following verse. “How you blowin’ money fast? You don’t know the crew / Are you part of the fam? Shit, I never knew / Y’all was supposed to make it hard, this is easy, hoe / “Pull up in that triple white,” I think I’m Jeezy, hoe.” When leaked to media today, Def Jam employees referred to the song as “the most controversial record of this year,” although no formal confirmation of the diss has been made.

Although Ross’ name is never mentioned, many speculate that Jeezy is confronting his Def Jam label-mate. Previously, Young Jeezy had appeared on Ross’ debut, Port of Miami and his sophomore album, Trilla. Jeezy also worked with Ross’ Triple C’s group on their Custom Cars & Cycles album.
