Long are the days when music producers just received credits in a CD insert. We've seen a waive of
top selling Hip-Hop, and R&B beat makers rise over the past ten years to celebrity status landing front
covers of magazines, walk the red carpet, and hit the stage with their protege. From Swizz Beatz,
Timbaland, to Danjahandz are just a few of the names that might ring bells, but there is a quiet kept
secret by the name of Chad Beatz thats just been put on blast.
Born and raised in Boston, the sample free producer has been in the hip-hop scene since the age of 17
when Chad was introduced to producer Ryan Leslie. The two compadres made moves together
throughout the years and it was long before Chad was shaking hands with the President of G-Unit
Records Sha Money. By the age of 21 Chad signed a deal with G-unit becoming the official G-Unit
producer and scoring mega hits like Lloyd Banks (Hunger for more 2004), 50 Cent (Bulletproof 2005),
Tony Yayo (DVD 2005), Mobb Deep (Blood Money 2006), and many other projects that has expanded
his repertoire.
Since his days at G-unit Chad has been on fire starting his own production company “Pacemaker
Music” scoring recent hits with Ashanti & Robin Thicke (The Things You Make Me Do) a unique
collaboration with producer Seven and Keith Ross from Miami, Florida. Jim Jones (Byrdgang Money),
Michelle Williams (Instant Gratification), Collie Buddz Ft Cassie (Drive Me Crazy) and the list goes
on. Chad's latest creation goes beyond the rims of anything he's ever done before with his 16 year
singer/songwriter and protégé Micheala Lishala. When asked how would you define her sound, Chad
describes the sound as dark meets pretty: a combination of sound from the likes of Aaliyah and
Rihanna.
Never straying far from his hip-hop roots Chad looks forward to working with 50 Cent again but
looking forward to working with a wide variety of artists such as Beyonce, Missy, Busta Rhythmes,
and Lindsay Lohan.
